We keep moving forward!

Hey everyone! What a process this is - we know nothing about adoption is easy and this process itself will not be the hardest part. I know the hardest part will be when our children come home and we all begin the adjustment as a family and as Caleb and I learn first hand about being parents.

Meanwhile, we continue to move forward towards that day when we get to hold our kids in our arms and tell them how much we love them. We have now met with our social worker two times and she is working on writing up our home study. YIPPEEEEEEEEE! We have never been this far in the process, so this is definitely super exciting.

This Saturday we will be meeting with the psychologist to do our last assessment that is required for the Philippines and then he will work on writing up and completing our psychological assessment that is needed to complete our home study!

We have all documents completed for the dossier also (all except for one document needed for immigration that we cannot do until home study approval)! We have been so busy and the busyness will continue!

Please pray for us for the home study and psych assessment to get written up quickly so we can then begin working on getting immigration approval from the U.S. (this means we will have permission from the U.S. to adopt children from another country and bring them back to the U.S., very important!). As soon as we have an approved home study, we can look at children that are waiting for families and can work on getting matched! This is HUGE! So we are trying to be patient, but waiting is never easy! We are so grateful to God for all He is doing in providing finances for each payment as they have become due. Our biggest payment will come when we get our match. So, we are going to begin working on applying for adoption grants to help us get even closer to our goal. That's all for now! From here on out we could have some pretty awesome updates (such as knowing who our children are !!!!!!!! and travel updates....but who knows when that will be...Still, we look forward to sharing with you). Thank you for joining us on this exciting journey!!!
