Chosen

Where do I even start? This journey has been so amazing. Yes, it is hard and a lot of tears have been shed in all the waiting as we watch our children grow up over video in these past few months, but we see God working a miracle - the miracle of adoption.

It is amazing how God has directed us and led us to Lawrence and Mercy.

It is amazing the LOVE God has placed in our hearts for our children. He chose them to be with us and us with them before each of them took their first breath, He already had planned for us to be a family. To me that is amazing. God has been weaving this story since even BEFORE they were born.

It is amazing the people that He has placed in our path all along the way. It seems almost everywhere we go God puts people in our path who have adopted.

It is amazing how God has worked through many of you, through your continued prayers, through your care in asking us about the process, and through many of you being so generous in giving towards the finances of this process. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We cannot thank you enough. This is the greatest gift we could ever be given. Our hearts are full.

We are totally humbled. And here we are towards the end of the waiting to meet Lawrence and Mercy. Our children will be getting their visas hopefully in the next couple of months. I talked to a dear lady yesterday who is praying hard for our children. She said "I am praying for them to be able to come home by Christmas". What a beautiful thing to see our brothers and sisters in Christ believeing for miracles for us, for our family.

God has brought us so far in the past three years, showing us miracle after miracle in this adoption process. Yes, this has been long, but God is building faith in us, and we know this is not meant to be easy, because it's the things that we have to work hard and endure pain for that are truly worth it. Our kids are worth it. And what a beautiful way for us to be able to truly experience the gospel as we adopt our children, God has loved us and wanted us before there was time. And when Jesus came to pay that price for us all, He was showing us, "you are loved, you are chosen, come to Me." And that was not an easy journey by any means. He gave us everything to be able to adopt us.

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure . Ephesians 1:4-5

Would you like to be part of helping bring Lawrence and Mercy home? We have more needs in the finance department.

An update on the finances:

We need about $5,000 more for the adoption fund. This includes the cost of some of our post-adoption reports as well as the cost of lawyer fees when we finalize in the United States. We are believeing for God to provide for that need, because He keeps showing up and providing each step. Would you like to help meet that need? Please reach out to us if you would like to help.
